7 Loungewear Pieces You Won’t Want to Take Off

As someone who works from home, I’m thankful for the chance to always be comfortable. If you drop by my house on any given weekday, you won’t be surprised to find me in sweat pants and a hoodie, swigging from my water bottle. Other days, however, I slip on some skinny jeans because I want to look my best.

Recently, though, I realized my wardrobe is missing something important: loungewear that looks and feels amazing. When I’m wearing comfy clothes, I don’t want to look like I’m wearing a potato sack! At the same time, I don’t want to always be wearing fashionable clothing that make me stiff and uncomfortable.

That’s why I pulled together some of our favorite loungewear—because feeling pretty doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice comfort.

Joriki’s Oversized Draped Tank

Some days, you’re not sure whether you feel like reading a book on the couch with a cup of tea or going for a brisk jog. Why not do both? With Joriki’s Oversized Draped Tank, you can be comfy and get going—all while looking fashionable in this creative draped design. Why we love it: A percentage of each sale goes directly to Kiva, a non-profit that works to alleviate poverty.

HAVEN Collective Yoga’s Performance Jersey Contour Crop Top

Crop tops are back! We love the throwback look of this olive-color crop top and the confidence that comes with its perfect fit. This crop top is great for a day full of yoga and café hopping with friends. Its built-in bra means you’ll have all the support you need whether you’re relaxing or running around.

HOPEMadeintheworld’s Baby Alpaca V-neck Pullover Sweater

This pullover is designed to casually hang off the body, giving it a relaxed vibe. This sweater is sure to keep you warm while kicking around the house, and you’ll be as comfortable as ever with the soft, warm, durable alpaca fabric that comes from the world’s most exclusive alpaca region in Peru. Pair with yoga pants for a relaxing day, or wear with some skinny jeans and sandals for a bohemian, effortlessly tousled look.

Morgan Lane’s Rose Smoke Jillian Night Shirt

This silky night shirt by New York-based designer Morgan Lane perfectly blends classic with sexy. Made of luxe silk charmeuse, this epically soft rose-colored fabric will have you on cloud nine. What we love: wear it to bed, or pair it with sharp-looking slacks. This nightshirt can be dressed up or down, but it will always be the comfiest item in your closet.

Violet and Wren’s Ebony Tulip Lace Trim Slip

There’s nothing like lounging around the house in a simple slip on a warm afternoon, and the Ebony Tulip Lace Trim Slip offers equal parts style and comfort. It’s 100% silk, which will leave your skin feeling soft and cool. Enjoy a comfy foray around the gardens in your bare feet or wear this slip out to the farmers market paired with a straw hat and flip flops.

Violet and Wren’s Eternal Stripe Cut Through Silk Slip

This silk slip is so comfy that you’ll live in the thing. Designed by London-based Violet and Wren (the same designer who brings you the Ebony Tulip Lace Trim Slip and some killer kimonos), this slip is fit for a day on the town or a weekend of relaxation. The relaxed fit allows the fabric to fall comfortably around your stomach, and the deep v-neck back adds a modern twist to a classic design.

Morgan Lane’s Langley Silk Robe in Starburst Petal

This robe falls about three inches above the knee and is a perfectly sassy alternative to the heavy-looking bathrobe. Made of smooth silk and featuring a charming star pattern, this robe is perfect for lounging around as you read your favorite books in the most comfortable loungewear of your life.

Being comfy at home is important. Do you really feel like you can relax before taking off your uncomfortable work clothes and slipping into something cozier? And, of course, when you’re lounging around the house, don’t forget to step into a pair of slippers to keep your feet nice and warm.
