Got the dry skin blues? We feel you. That tight, flakey feeling is no joke but you don’t have to deal with it anymore this year. Thanks to these clarifying, moisturizing, and calming cleansers, your cold-weather skincare game is going to be stronger than ever.

But first, not sure how to choose a cleanser? Start by identifying what kind of skin you have: for example, oily, dry, combination, sensitive, or prone to acne. Look for those buzzwords when choosing a cleanser. Then, try it out and discontinue use if you feel pain, discomfort, or notice anything strangely negative. If you know you’re sensitive to fragrances, dyes, and alcohol, avoid ’em. After all, your skin deserves all the love you can give it.

For normal to combination skin

Regenerating Gel Cleanser Amethyst Daily Wash ($85)
This chic and sweet-smelling gel feels as luscious as it looks.  But don’t be fooled by the millennial lavender hue—this stuff is the real deal. The frothy cleanse not only soothes the skin as you rub it in but you’ll feel the effects of Nazan the day after you’ve used it. Think soft, supple, and fresh. Good morning, indeed.

For sensitive skin

Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk ($30)
Dealing with redness and sensitive skin? This cleanser is just like its name—calm and gentle. This formula gets rid of attackers on your skin from pollution and makes your skin more resilient while helping to erase signs of irritation (re: getting rid of that redness!).

For blemish-prone or oily skin

CAMU Brightening Cleanser ($45)
If your biggest skin concern is clogged pores, try this bad boy. CAMU deeply removes dirt and excess oil so you can have clearer, cleaner skin. So how does it work? Green tea and camu camu helps to gently pull gunk out of your pores, while coconut oil, chamomile, and cucumber soothe and moisturize. Though it’s categorized as a cream cleanser, it feels more like an ultra-light oil cleanser.

Circ-Cell Geothermal Clay Cleanser ($40)
Ever wanna give your face a green juice? Now you can with this fresh-smelling cleanser from Circ-Cell. Made of meadowfoam seed oil and geothermal clay derived from the Arctic Circle, it works to clean your skin without stripping its natural oils. And the best part? It doubles as a mask! Just slather it on, leave it for 10-15 minutes, and let Circ-Cell work its magic.

For dry skin

Lavido Organic Hydrating Facial Cleanser ($29)
Are you an organics maven? Then, this gentle and hydrating facial cleanser could be the one. Lavido opens and thoroughly cleanses the pores with the antioxidant-rich Vitamin A and carrot oil. Plus, it’s formulated without petroleum, silicones, parabens, synthetic dyes, and animal testing. It’s vegan-friendly and gluten-free. Did we just hear you swoon, nature babes?

OY-L Manuka Honey Face Wash ($36)
What’s all the buzz about Manuka honey? It has the ability to stimulate production of special cells that can repair damage to the skin! If you’re prone to inflammation and breakouts, try its magic healing powers with this sweet face wash by OY-L. Not only will you get out all the impurities, but your skin will be restored, calm, cool, and collected. Yeah, skin can do that.
