Inspired by the personal tie maker to the Italian heads of government, Sette founder Peter Watkins launched his own luxury, limited-edition neckwear line. “Sette,” the Italian word for seven, is a reference to the traditional—and now all but lost—method of folding silk onto itself seven times, thereby giving a tie the heft needed for an elegant appearance. All Sette ties are hand-stitched from the finest quality silk, finished with a bar tack to hold the seven folds together and slip-stitched down the blade so the tie can breathe, move, and recover between wearings.
