About Rosti

The Rosti story originated in 1944 when Rolf Fahrenholtz and Stig Jorgensen founded a company in Denmark focusing on products for the home. The main material used; Melamine was new to the industry combined with their design background, was an immediate success. Their goal was to create a timeless product that was easy to produce. This was the starting point of the creation of the Rosti icon; the Margrethe mixing bowl. The concept of a simple bowl; curved, spacious, yet high enough to allow whipping and stirring without the contents spilling over the sides. Named after the Danish Princess Margrethe, was launched Christmas 1954. The Margrethe dish has become an award-winning Danish design icon
