A couple of years ago, Robin and Jerry Tolochko did the unthinkable: They quit their jobs in the U.S. and moved to Bogotà, Colombia, where they not only didn’t know anyone but had never been before. There, they impulsively signed up for a leather-working class—and unexpectedly found their passion. They loved working with leather so much that they started Restrepo, a leather bag line that is handcrafted from start to finish. From the tanning to the individually punched holes to the stitching, every Restrepo product represents hours of work—up to 60 hours for some styles—by traditional artisans. The resulting bags are not only beautiful, they’re made to last a lifetime.
