Cynthia Rowley’s first collection was purchased while she was still enrolled at the School of the Art Institute, pursuing a degree in fine art. Rowley’s early success prompted her to move to New York and launch the Cynthia Rowley Collection, which has since grown to include womenswear, eyewear, jewelry, handbags, shoes, legwear, swimwear, home sewing products, and wetsuits.
Today, the Cynthia Rowley Collection is sold in department and specialty stores, in addition to more than 60 Cynthia Rowley shops around the world. Rowley has been recognized with a Perry Ellis Award for Womenswear Design Talent by the CFDA and received a CFDA nomination for the Perry Ellis Award for New Menswear Design Talent. She is a popular style authority on “Project Runway,” “Oprah,” “David Letterman” and “The Today Show,” among others. Her work has been featured in nearly every major publication, and she maintains a regular celebrity clientele.
