Using extracted fibers from the native agave plant, Maguey, the hoops of these Mola Sasa Natural Maguey Hoop Earrings are handwoven by the women of the Kankuama community in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain chain in Colombia. The body of the earrings are also handwoven in the Zenu Reserve in Tuchin Cordoba using the "caña flecha" technique - a technique developed for those of the "turned over hats" used in the coffee plantations. Additionally, the belt has gold tip finishes.
