The mixing bowl was created by Danish designers who were commissioned by Rosti Denmark to develop a series of timeless mixing bowls which in shape, function and quality were to be unique.
The specified material was melamine.
In 1954, the first new bowl was produced and royal approval was asked for to call the unique series of the bowls after princess Margrethe. She is the current Queen of Denmark. Permission was granted, after which the Margrethe bowl was launched in three sizes in Denmark and abroad. In 1985 the Margrethe bowl was awarded the Danish Design Counsil's ID prize for industrial design of lasting value. In 1997 the Margrethe was placed on Danish post stamps. The Margrethe bowl is part of the MoMA, NY permanent collection.
The Rosti Margrethe Mixing Bowl was launched more than 60 years ago and has established its position as a design icon. Enthusiastic users appreciate the quality, the functionality and the contemporary design of the product.
