Recommended steps to properly season before first use: 1. Heat empty Wok on stove on a medium heat. (It is normal for Wok to turn brown) Ensure even heat distribution by rotating the Wok. Continue heating until the surface turns a dark brown. 2. Use a dry metal brush to remove protective coating while Wok is hot. 3. Pour in 50ml of cooking oil, distribute evenly and leave for 3 minutes. 4. Wash the interior with detergent and water until clean. 5. Place Wok on stove again and heat up a small amount of water until it evaporates. 6. Again cover in appropriate amount of cooking oil with a paper towel and ensure no burnt residue is left inside.
