Natural oak Bird: To get a smooth surface again gently sand the product with sandpaper, preferably grain 220 or finer. To keep the dark part in the eyes dark, use “Bivoks balsam – natur”/“Beeswax balm – nature” with a cotton swap. Smoked oak Birds: If the dark color has faded we recommend using furniture wax from time to time to keep the wood moist. In our repair shop we use “Bivoks balsam – natur” / “Beeswax balm – nature”.
Kristian Vedel was born in 1923 and was educated at the Danish School of Arts, Crafts and Industrial Design, where he later lectured. Vedel’s designs are known for his creative use of materials, especially plastic and wood. In his award-winning and refined designs, Vedel typically places emphasis on the ergonomical and rational aspects of an object.
