The Hanger Frame was created by 2nd Shift Design Co. as an alternative to traditional square picture frames. What makes the hanger frame unique is the attention given to its tiny details, elevating it from just a wooden bracket to a piece of art all on its own.
Wipe clean with a dry cloth if dust gathers. If brass becomes tarnished, polish with #000 steel wool.
These frames are made with locally sourced wood from Northeast Ohio. All hanger frames are built and assembled by hand by the designers themselves.
Inspired by classic pull-down maps, the Hanger Frame is a smart, easy-to-use alternative to traditional picture framing. Made from locally sourced maple and solid brass hardware, the frame comes in three sizes to accommodate a variety of prints. Prints are held securely in between the frame's wooden brackets, which are tightened with brass thumbscrews. Prints that are slightly larger or smaller than the frame are still held secure. Installation is simple: the frame's thoughtful design uses one ring at the top which easily slips over a nail.
