The fifth stop of her "Artful Odyssey" collection is Lake Natron, Tanzania with The "Flamingo" Scarf. This scarf was inspired by an excerpt of her diary:
Travel diary: The Legend of the Phoenix. Date: 12th of May 2013. Location: San Diego, California, USA. Excerpt: "This morning, I decided to spend the day at the famous zoo of San Diego. When I overheard the guide near the pink flamingos' lake narrating the tale of the legend of the phoenix, I was instantly riveted. On the shores of the salt and soda pink lake Natron in Tanzania, pink flamingos live in isolation due to harsh environmental conditions only they can bare. The legend says that every time the volcano erupts, flamingos get completely wiped out of the shores. However, once the natural phenomenon is over, they miraculously reappear and the cycle goes on. They say, that’s how the legend of the phoenix was born."
