We think we’re so grand, going about life in our little shells with our big egos and a sense of entitlement; entirely forgetting that our tiny lives are a micro-second in all of existence, and in a few breaths our precious bodies will rot and we’ll be reduced to ashes or dust. We wage wars between religions, countries, races and genders, growing hatred, anger and mistrust. We burn forests, clog oceans, kill species, consume nature, and search for life on other planets while we can’t co-exist with our own. But I hear a new army is coming, heraldic flag flying high, bearing symbols of courage; a lion and horse for power and action, a peacock and eagle for integrity and protection, a swallow for freedom and hope. They wear medals and wreaths of victory and honour, brandish swords of right and torches of light; they lead from the heart, love from the soul, and know that the time to change things is now. They see us immune to the suffering around us, closing our eyes, turning our back and numbing our soul. They shake us awake, inspiring valour and courage to choose kindness and generosity in the face of hostility, to start a small change in the chain of events, to right the things that are wrong with the world. They urge us, these warriors, these valourous crusaders, to fight for oneness under the flag of humanity; to live larger and love harder with fearless compassion, selfless service, and hearts imploding with love. They passionately remind us that our time is short and death is near, yet our actions will last forever.
All plated jewellery does lose a bit of it's colour over time. However, if maintained properly, this is mimized to a large extent! We recommend always storing your Eina Ahluwalia jewellery in the branded cloth pouch and signature box that it comes in. Also, remember to always wear your jewellery AFTER spraying on any perfume as the alcohol content in the perfume errodes any sort of plating. It is also recommended to keep your jewellery away from water. Eina Ahluwalia offers free re-plating service for life for all jewellery purchased.
Brass with gold plating.
Remembering that we will die and return to dust, puts our egos in place and the pursuit of earthly pleasures in perspective. This remembrance of the impermanence of life and the inevitability of death is a catalyst for us to give ourselves to a purpose greater than ourselves; to make something of our time alive, and leave something good behind. This skull has a wreathe around the head and an Unalome on its forehead, both symbolic of a life lived fully, and time on earth used well in being of value to others. The unalome represents the path to enlightenment. The spiral shows the beginning of the path, without direction, the knots are our errors and struggles, each a life lesson, and the straight line learbing up to the dots on top is our finding harmony, our purpose, and finally enlightenment. Similarly, the lotus on the crown symbolizes rising above the darkness we live in, and blooming into our purest self.
