According to coffee aficionados and experts, the burr grinder is the optimal method for grinding up coffee beans to create the best tasting cup of coffee. Blades on both the outer wheel and the center cone (as opposed to just one central blade in electric grinders) create uniform grinds, which result in a more consistent and balanced tasting brew. The hand-cranked coffee mill is designed by Japanese product designer Yamasaki Hiroshi and handcrafted under the expertise of Kalita, a family-owned coffee accessories company founded in 1958. The cherry birch base features a carved wood screw thread and the grinder is made with cast iron, creating a durable and beautiful piece that adds quality to your morning routine.
Place beans in iron vessel, set to desired grind aize (from coarse to fine) and use the hand-powered crank to grind. Unscrew the wood bottom to retrieve coffee grinds. Use with your favorite drip cone or French press. Clean with a soft cloth or brush in order to prevent buildup and old coffee oils from spoiling your next cup of coffee.
