The tweed fabric for this Merino wool throw was designed by Gerd Hay-Edie in 1966. Flecks of yarn and thread alternate to create a highly textured, dappled appearance.
Dry clean only.
In 1954, weaver Gerd Hay-Edie set up her workshop and design studio, Mourne Textiles, in the Mourne Mountains of Ireland. She passed her craft down to her daughter, Karen Hay-Edie, who is now the master weaver at Mourne Textiles. Today, Karen co-owns the company with her son, Mario Sierra, and the pair continue to pull from the company's rich archive of throws, pillows and rugs.
With a classic tweed design dating back to 1956, this Merino wool throw offers a textured softness that's perfect for getting cozy in your favorite chair. Each blanket is woven in Donegal, Ireland by a third-generation weaver. Measures 79 inches long by 59 inches wide.
