Made in Los Angeles from powder-coated steel and oak, this stool is a welcome addition to the bedroom as a nightstand, to the living room as a side table or in the kitchen as bar seating. The stool features ample storage—a wide cubbyhole easily stores your current reading material, while a dual-pronged hook hangs jackets, hats and small bags.
The slate grey is an exclusive to Kaufmann Mercantile.
To clean, wipe down with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasives as this may scratch the powder-coated steel finish.
Scout Regalia was founded in 2008 by Benjamin Luddy and Makoto Mizutani. The husband-wife pair design pieces to work in their own lives, but their products also speak to a wider audience, as evidenced by dozens of features in notable publications including the Los Angeles Times, Elle Décor, Vanity Fair and more. Their catalogue of products demonstrate their love for the outdoors, sustainable living and support of local fabricators.
The powder-coated steel portion of the stools was fabricated by a local Los Angeles sheet metal manufacturer. These stools were first conceived as an exclusive design for a bar and restaurant in Snowmass, Colorado. The frigid temperatures led Benjamin and Makoto to add a hook on the underside for hanging snow jackets and winter coats.
