Your jumble of keys will fall into line when strung on this solid brass rod holder. The abacus bead shaped ends unscrew on one side, making it easy to pass along your house key to a pet sitter or your car key to a valet.
With regular use and continual movement, the screw cap will tend to loosen—tighten the screw cap from time to time in order to keep your keys securely on the rod. Do not force or over-tighten the screw, as this may disturb and abrade the metal threading. Over time, your key rod will develop a unique patina.
Postalco originated in Brooklyn, New York, and is currently based in Tokyo. Husband-and-wife team Mike and Yuri Abelson, a product designer and a graphic designer, respectively, began with an admiration for traditional mail, paper goods and Japanese craftsmanship. Mike and Yuri work closely with the craftsmen who make their goods, discussing every stitch and fold in the construction of their notebooks, envelopes and wallets, with workers who are just as obsessed with quality as the designers. Each abacus key holder is made by a brass founder in Japan.
Solid brass rod key holder with screw cap that twists on and off to accommodate up to 10 keys. Brass will develop a unique patina over time and with continued handling. Made in Japan. (more info)
