This scarf comes from a company that has been milling wool for well over a century. It selects only the finest grades of wool from around the world and within the U.S., paying special attention to the weaving and processing of each piece. Inspired by classic airline blankets used during the 1950s that were found in the Faribault archives, the merino wool scarf features a subtly retro pin dot pattern. It's jacarde woven, a more sophisticated weave requiring a different loom. Each piece is crafted on-site – from the dying and spinning of the wool fibers to the finishing touches.
Dry clean recommended.
The 19th-century wool mill that manufactures these scarves wastes nothing and recycles everything as part of its business and manufacturing model. The company’s state-of-the-art water processing equipment takes waste heat during processing and pre-heats the incoming water supply through the use of heat-exchangers. This gives an estimated 93% energy re-use. The wool is shorn from live sheep, all of which are treated humanely.
Keep cozy wearing this fluff-loomed merino wool scarf with pin dot pattern. Made entirely in Minnesota by an American wool manufacturer established in 1865. Dry clean recommended. Available in three colors.
