If anything reflects the indulgence of the Baba Nyonya culture it’s their spoons. A purely functional tool to most, the increasingly rare porcelain spoons of the Baba Nyonya were commissioned for special occasions and ceremonies. The finest craftsman would then create each one, painstakingly adorning them with intricate motifs. Inspired by Malaysian Baba Nyonya porcelain, this digitally printed silk twill scarf blends striking colors with ornate symbols. The mythical phoenix, representing beauty and grace, is joined by a lady dressed in traditional Nyonya Kebaya.
Made in England.
