Peruvian artist Victor Delfin depicts a colorful baby condor, the body of the bird flowing out and off to the sides into a purple rectangle. Although the bird has distinguishable features, it is by no means realistically portrayed. Between the colors and the two-dimensional rendering, the piece reads as creative folk art rather than true-to-life. Delfin finds inspiration in the Paracan culture of Peru, often choosing birds as his subjects. Created in 1979, this serigraph is signed and numbered in pencil and is unframed.
