In the vibrant series Voor Thecla, Resch intentionally blurs the focus, abstracting a glorious bouquet of summer flowers—a gift from her Dutch friend Thecla—in order to create something beautiful for her in return. Seeking to evoke the emotive experience of the fleeting moment, these etherial yet deeply pigmented photographs are painterly abstractions that explore impressions and compositions of color and light, intentionally blurring the subject to free it from a literal reading. This is Image 2 in the series.
Made in the United States.
Details: Exquisitely printed (either on brushed aluminum—a unique and beautiful process which allows for a subtle metallic sheen through the photographic print—or face mounted and sealed in 1/4 inch plexiglass) these archival photographs are robust and resistant to both water and light exposure. The simple mount is easy to hang and offers a frameless modern print that gently floats off the wall. Dimensions: 16 inches x 24 inches or 24 inches x 36 inches. This is a limited edition of 12 pieces. Each piece is hand signed and numbered by the artist.
