This one of a kind, found-object design necklace is composed entirely of antique charms. At the center of this worldly piece is a 1" sterling silver crested compass with back detail from 1940s Osaka, Japan. Part of the “Travelogue” collection, the original collection of gathered designs, a travelogue of sorts, curated during the designer's time on the road with singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright. Each unique piece is a vignette of art and history: at once melancholy and romantic, edgy and sexy, masculine yet sensitive.
Made in the United States. Antique charm necklace. 24" sterling silver 2.4mm ball chain. Crafted with 1" Bone pen knife (1930s Berlin, Germany), 1" Sterling silver crested compass with back detail (1940s Osaka, Japan), .075” Sterling silver sea gull (1970s Cape Cod, United States), 0.5" Terra de Fatima medal (1940s Porto, Portugal), 0.5" Turquoise stone (Los Angeles, United States). Charms are antiques and should be worn with care and respect; avoid any major activity (i.e., gym, sports and water).
