Mother of three Tiffany Moller combed the Internet and boutiques for sun-protective clothing for herself and her children. What she found was anti-climatic: there was clothing that was chic and not protective; protective and not chic; and lastly, many clothes that were both un-chic and un-protective. The market simply did not exist for versatile, figure-flattering clothes that could also protect one's skin from the sun's damaging rays—at least, not without sacrificing good style.
Teaming up with her friend Alexandra Kotur, former Style Director of American Vogue, Moller decided to create chic, sun-protectant resortwear for women and their daughters. The result: Parasol. With timeless designs and signature prints, the company uses the highest quality sun-shielding Italian fabrics. And without stiff chemical coatings, Parasol's knits actually create a physical barrier to protect your skin against 98 percent of the sun’s harmful rays, in or out of the water.
