For a project at MIT, graduate student Gauri Nanda created a moving alarm clock, forcing its owner to get up to silence it. Thinking nothing of it, Nanda unexpectedly received media fanfare and decided to commercialize her creation. Witnessing her parent’s tireless dedication in running a business, Nanda was unsure at first if she wanted to follow in their footsteps. She eventually recognized that her uncanny vision could change the technology world. As the founder of Nanda Home, she aims to develop humanized technologies that are cute in design and intelligent in function.
