Loog Guitars started as an academic project in 2010, when Rafael Atijas developed the concept as his Master's thesis at New York University. In March 2011, he launched Loog via Kickstarter.com, a fundraising website for creative projects. The goal was set at $15,000, but the campaign instead raised $65,618 from people all over the world who believed in the project and wanted to play a part in bringing the idea to life. Thanks to them, Loog Guitar is now a reality, driven by a passion for music and sustainable design.
