Jeweler Erika Lauren began her career as a politico and environmentalist. She worked abroad as a Foreign Policy Analyst, for the Green Party of Canada and later with TLC on a groundbreaking land conservation project. It is only natural, then, that Lauren's Eco-conscious background is deeply embedded into the DNA of her eponymous jewelry line. Take for instance the zero-footprint 'Eco-lux' collection, which consists of mostly found materials; the 'Glacier' collection, which is based on the exotic beauty of Arctic landscapes; or the 'Noir' collection, which honors sustainable design principles by turning defunct bicycle inner tubes into chic rubber jewelry. Indeed, since 2009, Canada-based Erika Lauren Design has produced pieces that is as much about glamor as it about appreciating the natural world.
