Elvis & Kresse are a British duo who upcycles reclaimed fire hoses into one-of-a-kind men’s accessories since 2007, recycling more than 165 tons of waste and donating 50 percent of proceeds to Fire Fighters Charity. A true waste not, want not story, the innovators collect used hoses– some of which have put in 20 years of noble service– from fire brigades around the United Kingdom, transforming them with the help of leather workers who cut and stitch them into sleek wallets, functional wash bags and elegant cufflinks. Elvis & Kresse doesn’t stop there; their packaging is also upcycled, using reclaimed tea sacks and failed parachute silk dust covers.
