For Docksmith co-owners Lee Goodwin, Olivia Turrell, Katie Francis and Christopher Francis, small-business success is all about finding a balance between nature and technology. Since 2011, the friends-turned-business-owners have been producing driftwood phone and tablet docking stations, recently expanding their Brunswick, Maine-based operations into a historic mill known as Fort Andross. “Our studio is usually a nest of driftwood, packaging, shipping, coffee and conversation,” says Olivia. “It’s kind of amazing how much happens here!”
