Projects are always approached from a material point of view and are driven by a fascination of the working principles of nature. In my work I always try to show the beauty of materials and how they behave. I want to understand the material on all levels, in some cases up to the atomic level. By working with a specific material and experimenting with it, you start to intuitively understand the material. I try to scratch the surface of the underlying principles of nature, that have an almost mystic meaning for me. This way of working results in products that show how a material behaves, resulting in a construction or shape that matches the material properties. Besides that we put al lot of effort and love in the details. Since we work usually on a relatively small scale (sofar no big furniture pieces) details are extremely important.
