Long-sleeved clothing has its charm for sure, but it’s no good for bold accessories. And there’s nothing we love more than to ditch our coats, take off our sweaters and stretch our arms to the sun—once we’ve adorned them with a few of these glamorous Bounkit cuffs, that is.
Designed by Hassan Bounkit, a native of Morocco who studied in Florence and worked for Ferragamo, Nicole Miller and Scaasi before striking out on his own, they’re unabashedly bold, with Art Deco panache. We can imagine a 1940s starlet wearing them poolside, stacked up to her elbow.
We’re offering these striking cuffs in two different color groupings, each of which includes three coordinating styles. The bright group mixes carnelian and lapis lazuli for a festive look that will really sing against summer whites; and the neutral features smoky topaz and tiger’s eye, a sophisticated match that you’ll be reaching for all year long. All the cuffs are set in 24kt plated gold and are handmade in Bounkit’s New York City atelier.
The largest of the cuffs mixes both stones in the pairing, while the narrower two feature one stone each. Though we’re selling them all singly, we love the idea of wearing all three in a grouping at once. And considering that they go with everything from T-shirts to evening dresses and are the accessory equivalent of Prozac, we have a feeling we’ll be doing a lot of that.
