In 2002, Canadians Jeneen Gacek and Diana DeLuca left their corporate careers and traveled to Bali. In front of meatball soup stand, they met and fell in love with local jewelry designer Hariyono, whose own business was suffering under the strain on the Balinese economy. The trio formed BauXo (meaning meatball soup) through a collective passion for life. Each hand-made piece is loyal to the material from which it's made, using sustainable, salvaged and recycled materials whenever possible and a low-impact solar drying process. The inspiration behind these distinct, versatile pieces is as unique as the men and women who own them, because the greatest accessory is a passion for life!
