Alejandra Bremer hails from the desert of northern Mexico, where her grandfather, a metallurgical engineer, awoke her interest and appreciation for metals and craftsmanship. A mix of cultural and ideological contrasts, influenced by the diversity and movement of New York City and by her Mexican background. Ale Bremer Jewelry’s collection supports traditional Mexican techniques by adding embroidery work from a group of artisanal indigenous women in southern Mexico and repurposing leather from a small Mexican boot-making workshop. Bremer's jewelry is also a sustainable company, all metals and materials used in her pieces are recycled and handmade in her Brooklyn studio.
