About Sarah's Bag

Belonging to a generation of Beirut-based designers who came of age during the country's 16-year civil war, founder and creative designer of Sarah's Bag, Sarah Beydoun, contributes to rebuilding the city's cultural life through her creative passion. Beydoun was one of the first designers in Lebanon to bring Middle Eastern pop culture into the mainstream, reviving the region's rich traditions of craftsmanship, embroidery, crocheting and textile making. Her desire to empower women lead to using her business as a platform for female artisans and today more than 150 of these artisans form the backbone of Sarah's Bag.
