Expertise: Accessories Expert, Editor-in-Chief of Kitten Lounge
Location: New York City
Interests: Fashion, style, beauty, food, music and travel.
Background: I began as a model, continued as a visual merchandiser for premium brands and then launched Kitten Lounge, a site that focuses on fashion, style, beauty, food, music and travel. This allows me to cover a number of events, be an on-air personality, and do fun collaborations with brands like Coach and Ralph Lauren.
Why did you curate Lupetta scarves? I love these scarves because I am a huge believer that regardless of the season, it's essential to have a scarf—whether you're running in and out of air conditioned environments, on a long flight, or just wanting to add a hint of color to your look!"
Favorite meal: I'm obsessed with the following (which would make the best meal): lobster bisque, tasty bread with rosemary butter, and then an entree including kale, halibut and mashed potatoes and creme brulee! This is fab to have with prosecco or lychee 'tinis.
Recent purchase: Gorgeous Italian handbag from Claudia Firenzie which was perfect to wear throughout fashion week and is fab for the fall.
Hidden talent: Once upon a time when I was super flexible I used to be able to touch the top of my head with my feet.
Book/film recommendation: My favorite book is Memoirs of a Geisha. I can read it anytime and always get something new out of it. I also love Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Restaurant recommendation: I love Freeman's in New York. I went there when it first opened and I have always been a fan of their artichoke dip with bread—a meal in itself.
If I had $20, I’d… Catch up with friends over tasty snacks and blood orange martinis.
Transformative travel experience: My first trip to Laba Dee in Haiti when I was a child began my love affair with the islands and the amazing weather. Every time I felt life was getting busy, I knew that I had to fly down to an island or anywhere there is a beach so I could relax.
Favorite neighborhood: I love Ocean Drive in South Beach as there are tons of shopping options, and great places to eat and party.
Dream holiday: I would love to rent a house on an island and invite friends and family so that we could all celebrate together. Obviously it would be in a warm climate but everyone could enjoy great food, exchange gifts and enjoy being together—I love great photo ops!
If I could solve one problem, it would be: I'd love to create a gorgeous space that entrepreneurs and freelancers could use to have meetings or just get their work done. It would be a space that would be equipped with wifi, and various companies could provide food and services in exchange for feedback about their products. It would be an alternative to Starbucks but a place that people could come to without worrying about having the resources they need to conduct business. There would be no obligation to pay for the space.
I wish people cared more about: Supporting local or independent artists in music and in fashion.
Recent aha! I adore these over the knee boots in grey suede by Camilla Skovgaard. They're classic because of the wedge, but have boho chic elements that give them character without going over the top.
The world would be a better place if: More people did inspiration walks. I do this as a means to see the city and discover style in a new way. By simply walking around you can see how people wear items, you can see trends emerging, find new restaurants and more. It's nice to be a tourist in your own city so that you can gain a new perspective!
