TwinLuxe co-founders (and identical twins) Anthony and Hubert Tsai know a bit about life in the fast lane. The two were high flying Wall Street equity traders accustomed to the best—luxe apartments, expensive cars and fine dining —before launching their high-end grooming collection, which includes an impeccably designed razor set and one-size-does-not-fit-all skincare products, with ingredients that pay tribute to their Taiwanese heritage. Naturally, they looked to an equally high-flying designer to help them create the perfect shaving instruments. Enter Marek Djordjevic, who designed the exterior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom series. “My goal was to reflect the vision of TwinLuxe founders and embody the values of authenticity and masculine presence in a modern expression of craftsmanship and luxury,” said Djordjevic. Done and done. Here, the trio discusses how it all comes together.
What inspired you to create these products?
Hubert Tsai: We were successful equity traders working for a Wall Street firm and after a day's work, we needed time to de-stress and relax. Some days we would hit the gym and pump iron before going out to grab drinks with friends. But before going out we wanted to pamper ourselves and feel our best, so we would relax by taking a nice long hot shower and do the man thing: shave. Anthony and I appreciate the finer things in life since we believe in working hard and playing hard. However, when it came to shaving and skin care maintenance, there was nothing appealing. We don't eat with plastic knives and forks at home so why shave with a $5 plastic razor? We decided to launch a line of men's luxury grooming products we ourselves wanted to use and that we thought others like us—successful young professional men—would want to use, too. Since we are Taiwanese, we also wanted to incorporate a little Asian influence into our products so that is why the TwinLuxe Shaving Skincare line is infused with an Asian botanical blend of four ingredients that have been clinically proven to help strengthen skin tone, improve skin smoothness and promote anti-aging. Four years later, we bring you TwinLuxe!
How were these products made?
Marek Djordjevic: The shave sets are manufactured using computer controlled milling machines that allow for 0.001" precision and accuracy. All parts are hand polished. All shave sets are hand assembled by the TwinLuxe founders themselves. The Chrome brush and razor are manufactured in Germany. The Chrome stand is manufactured in the USA.
What was the big aha! you had while creating these products?
HT: The look of shaving tools hasn't kept up with today's modern technology and materials. Shaving is still stuck in the past, and TwinLuxe is here to revolutionize men's grooming for the 21st century.
What is the experience you are hoping to give your customers?
MD: A transformation of a mundane, everyday routine into a morning celebration.

MD: Confidential (premium vehicles and lifestyle products).
What would you like to do other than your current occupation?
MD: Fly airplanes.
AT: If money weren't an issue, we would love to just stay home and be with our kids and wives.
