Ai Collection, which focuses on designing unique, useful, pop-influenced items, was launched as the sub-brand of a plastic injection molding company. Its name was taken from the initials of the CEO, Akira Ishikawa, though “ai” also means love in Japanese. The Paper Dispenser Pot was Ai Collection’s first product, and won the prestigious Good Design Award in Japan.
