Background: I trained as a printed textile designer and worked in fashion for 15 years. ?

What was your vision when you launched your line?
I wanted to create a new type of jewelry, or fashion fusion.

What inspired you to create jewelry?
There was nothing around that I wanted to wear.??

How would you describe your aesthetic?
Tribal art deco.

What specifically inspires your design?
Patterns, tribes, the Bauhaus movement and art deco. I love museums and books! ?

Where is it manufactured?
It is all hand-beaded in India using an Indian technique called tambour beading.

What materials do you use most frequently?
Chains and chains!

What has most surprised you in your designing career?
How it gets even better the older you get.

What are some of the reactions you’ve had to your jewelry?
I think “wow” is the most common reaction.??

What’s next on your creative agenda?
I am designing spring summer 2012 and have been working on some interesting collaborations!
