Expertise: Popflys Founder, Gritty Analogue Photographer, Front-End Developer
Location: Philadelphia / Montreal
Interests: When I'm not walking around with a Minolta, I'm usually skateboarding or snowboarding. I speak French fluently, not "un petit peu."
Background: I grew up in Chicago putting in about 30% of my actual effort into school until college at Temple University where I studied advertising and French. I realized quickly that I'm enthralled with graphic design and even more so with web development. I started a blog with my great friend Mike Perry. It's called PopFlys and it unexpectedly has risen to success.
Why did you curate the Hockenheimer stool? I'm a huge fan of function over form, after all I'm a developer. I'm an even bigger fan of the correct melange of function and form. The Hockeheimer does just that. Products that provide multiple uses, recycle and recreate, and are aesthetically wonderful, that's the future.
Favorite meal: My father's buffalo chicken wings. Twenty-one years and he still won't let us know the recipe to the marinade.
Recent purchase: Ray-Ban Clubmasters in Tortoise.
Hidden talent: I'm a mean cook, I hate to cook.
Book/Film recommendation: Book: A Circle is a Balloon And Compass Both by Ben Greenman. Film: The Science of Sleep.
Restaurant recommendation: Cafe Lift in Philadelphia.
Transformative travel experience: Living in Montreal for half a summer, I've never visited somewhere and thought I might be able to live there for the rest of my life.
Favorite neighborhood: Montreal in its entirety.
Dream holiday: Marseille in the Spring.
If I could solve one problem, it would be: Why can't I just settle down?
The world would be a better place if: Everyone just slowed down a tiny bit.
