ABOUT

Name: Victoria Potter
Expertise: Pointing out what nobody else wants to say.
Location: Vancouver

Interests: Styling, writing demiCouture, photography, thrifting, traveling, exploring.

Background: Grew up in the suburbs thus developed a love for exploring any place besides my home turf.

Why did you curate the custom portrait wood pendant and cufflinks and what do you love about them? Henderson Dry Goods is unique, has a beautiful organic look and eccentric feel. HDG products are one of my favorite accessories; they are beautiful and can accent any look.

Favorite meal: Home made Mac'n'Cheese with fried bread crumbs on top.

Recent purchase: Sam Edelman Lockhart boots. Alexander Wang Diego bag.

Film recommendation: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a beautiful film about love made for those who despise films about love.

Restaurant recommendation: You know, I just can’t recall the name of the restaurant I ate at in Florence last summer, but the food was literally to die for. That may sound trite but it’s the literal truth. It was across the Ponte San Niccolo bridge; I believe it was off Lungarno Benvenuto Cellini and it overlooked the water.

If I had $20, I’d… : Hop the bus to the 41st and Victoria Value Village in Vancouver; they have an excellent track record for treasure hunting.

Transformative travel experience: You can do so much on nearly nothing.

Favorite neighborhood: Notting Hill - it’s a quiet oasis in London with excellent gem thrift shops.

Dream holiday: Going to all major Fashion Weeks, one after the other and subsequently rubbing elbows at the post events.

If I could solve one problem, it would be: The common cold. I’ve been sick for a month!

I wish people cared more about: Personal grooming and grammar skills.

Recent aha! moment: Don’t wait until you’re backed against a wall to execute your biggest hustle; keep your biggest hustle going at all times.

The world would be a better place if: We knew how to balance our personal values.
