THE STORY
Cuyana—which means “to love” in Quechua, the traditional language of the Andean tribes—sources its alpaca in the Peruvian Andes, and works with indigenous craftsman to fuse local inspiration and modern design. Their alpacas are sheared every other year in the spring, protecting them from heat stress during the summer. The company also donates 10 percent of profits to fund clean water projects and keeps prices low by working without middlemen and avoiding unnecessary markups.
