Helmut Newton is renowned for his erotically-charged fashion photography, the dark glamour of which defined the genre in the 1970s and continues to influence photographers and stylists. He created this watch in collaboration with Swatch, the iconic Swiss watchmaker, and Henry Buhl, the celebrated philanthropist and art collector. Only 100 of this style were created, making the two we’re offering rare opportunities to own a Newton photograph that can be worn everyday.

The watch face and band features details of a photograph by the photographer, titled “California Finger Nails Hollywood.” It depicts a classic Newton setup: a nude with dangerous looking fingernails that contrast with her bare flesh. Each watch is numbered and stamped with the photographer’s signature on the interior of the band.

A portion of sales will go to benefit A.C.E.(Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless), the homeless charity Buhl founded. A.C.E. works with homeless men and women throughout New York City, providing job training, work experience, and a lifetime support network to help program participants achieve their goals and establish economic independence.
