THE STORY
Founded in 1742 by Generals Koskull and Staël von Holstein—their surnames are the origins of the company name—Kosta Boda helped to create the glassware industry in Småland, a part of Sweden that’s known as the country’s Kingdom of Glass. The world-renowned company is the largest glassworks in Scandinavia and embodies the distinctive folkways of Swedish design. Kosta Boda draws on both its long history and its collaborations with contemporary artists to create beautiful, heirloom-quality glassware.
