Why did you curate the Coffee-Inspired Wood Bracelet?
"I’m not even a coffee drinker and I heart this reusable java sleeve and cuff! They are practically unbreakable and I get loads of compliments every time I slip it off my wrist to receive my hot tea. The gorgeous wood species Contexture uses are bendable, beautiful and diverse. It’s a no-brainer gift for the fashion forward coffee lover." Read MoreTHE STORY
Wouldn’t it be cool if the sleeve that insulated your morning takeout coffee or tea was a thing of beauty instead of wasteful throwaway? That’s the question that inspired Contexture's wood cuff, an elegant au naturel accessory that also doubles as a reusable jacket for your java.
Created by landscape architects-turned-designers Trevor Coghill and Nathan Lee of Vancouver, the ultra lean Coffee Cuff is made of wood scraps reclaimed from local cabinetry shops. Though it may look delicate, it’s actually hand constructed from five separate layers of veneer, glued together to make one exceptionally strong piece of jewelry. Accompanying ring available here.
