THE STORY

These stunning, color-burst, one-of-a-kind silk scarves unite Lauren Pierce founder Lauren Bush's love of fashion and philanthropy with high-style results. (You may know Bush from her philanthropic organization, FEED LLC, or her work as a Parsons-trained designer and former model).

Crafted from luxurious double georgette silk, these vibrant scarves are hand-dyed by women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa in partnership with Women for Women International, and give them means to support and empower themselves. “These women are part of a fabric dyeing co-op, which is their livelihood," she adds. "We send the women silk, and they then have the creative license to dye the fabric as they see fit. The results are beautiful, and each scarf is then one-of-a-kind. It is truly an international fashion piece.”
