Hamsa Peace Earrings
By From War to PeaceFor thousands of years, the open hand has been used as a symbol of peace. These delicate earrings also represent the goal of ending hostilities in the Middle East. Made of disarmed nuclear weapons systems and converted into Peace Bronze™ metal, they're both original and poignant.
THE STORY
Sandee and Paul Orgen envisioned a perfect world without hatred, violence and wars. Coming from activist backgrounds, they constantly pushed for social justice causes and humanitarian efforts. To turn their dream into something real, the two found From War to Peace, a design company that recycles weapons of war and transforms them into beautiful accessories, symbolizing peace. Their signature material, Peace Bronze™, is recycled from missile system cabling, turned back into a pure form of copper dust, and then alloyed. The company uses this Peace Bronze™ to craft many of their wonderful pieces of art and jewelry.
