Hand Hammered Peace Earrings
By From War to PeaceThis peace symbol is crafted from one of the most destructive weapons ever devised: nuclear warheads. The hand-hammered brass emphasizes the recycled quality of these earrings. Made of disarmed nuclear weapons systems, they're available in both Peace Bronze™ and Iridescent.
THE STORY
Sandee and Paul Orgen envisioned a perfect world without hatred, violence and wars. Coming from activist backgrounds, they constantly pushed for social justice causes and humanitarian efforts. To turn their dream into something real, the two found From War to Peace, a design company that recycles weapons of war and transforms them into beautiful accessories, symbolizing peace. Their signature material, Peace Bronze™, is recycled from missile system cabling, turned back into a pure form of copper dust, and then alloyed. The company uses this Peace Bronze™ to craft many of their wonderful pieces of art and jewelry.
