Gabriela Artigas was studying textile design in her native Mexico City when a toothbrush display in a local supermarket waylaid her. Struck by the bright colors, she removed the bristles and made them into bracelets—which were bought right off her wrists by friends and strangers alike. Today she’s based in Los Angeles, where she and her sister Teresita oversee the production of Gabriela’s nature-inspired, boho-minimal line of jewelry.
