The tweed fabric for this soft merino wool throw was designed by Gerd Hay-Edie in 1966. Flecks of yarn and thread alternate to create a highly textured, dappled appearance. The Merino wool used in the throws ensure that they are soft and smooth to snuggle up to on the couch or in your favorite chair.
Dry clean only.
In 1954, weaver Gerd Hay-Edie set up her workshop and design studio, Mourne Textiles, in the Mourne Mountains of Ireland. She passed her craft down to her daughter, Karen Hay-Edie, who is now the master weaver at Mourne Textiles. Today, Karen co-owns the company with her son, Mario Sierra, and the pair continue to pull from the company's rich archive of throws, pillows and rugs.
