This tealight candle holder features polished brass on both the exterior and the interior. The shiny, mirrored surface amplifies the glow of the flame to help create just the right ambience for a dinner or cocktail party. The design was conceptualized by an award-winning architecture and design firm, while the fabrication takes place at a 400-year-old foundry in Sweden.
Use a mild metal polish and a soft cloth. Avoid contact with water. For safety, do not move the tealight when lit. Put out the candle by suffocating it, not by blowing on the flame. Do not place tealights on or near flammable or delicate surfaces.
In 1609 King Charles IX of Sweden created the Skultuna brass foundry to make ornate chandeliers for the Swedish crown. Since brass is made from copper and zinc, the foundry is strategically situated near copper mines about 75 miles west of Stockholm. Chandelier production continues at Skultuna today, and the foundry also collaborates with renowned contemporary product designers to create brass objects such as these tealight holders and our polished brass planters.
