Capture your seeds for next season with these easy to use seed envelopes. Made of natural manila hemp fibers, the packets are printed with sections for writing down seed type, variety, date collected and other notes. The envelopes can be used to store your own seeds, or to swap with other gardeners.
Harvest seeds when they are fully mature and dried. Insert seeds in envelope and close securely by applying moisture to the gum seal. Label the envelopes with info such as type, variety, date collected – or even who bought you the plant and for which occasion. If there is a chance of the envelopes coming into contact with moisture, store envelopes in a sealed container, such as a glass jar, to prevent seeds from rotting.
In 1981, John Buckland began creating gardening and home goods out of a shed in his family home using a wood lathe and hand tools. The demand for products increased and John eventually moved the business to an old corn and wood mill. Most of their products are now turned by machine in order to achieve uniformity, while finishing details continue to be done by hand for quality control. The business is run by John, his wife and their five sons.
